A key piece from my collection that I've owned since it was first released by KAWS in 2006. The first edition Dissected Companion in the most sought after colorway - black with neon guts.  Absolutely mint condition and guaranteed authentic. Limited to 500 copies unlike later versions that were "open editions."  I previously sold a Dissected Companion in the "brown" colorway and this is my second absolutely last KAWS piece I own.

What makes this black-neon Dissected extra special is that KAWS signed it in gold paint pen on the foot (see pics).  Brian made a special appearance at the Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery in Miami in the Fall of 2008 and I went to meet him and get my two Dissected figures signed.  Unknown to me until I arrived but Serena Altschul from the CBS Sunday Morning Show was also there with a film crew doing a story on KAWS.  They happened to catch me thanking him on film for signing my two figures which you can see if you search YouTube for the video (as an aside, it was pretty cool being on TV too). So the "provenance" for the authenticity of this KAWS figure literally couldn't be better.

The box is also mint - no discernable bumps, dimples or damage (see the pics). The box has been carefully stored separately from the figure in a cool, dry place along with the inner plastic liner also shown in the pics.  The figure itself has been displayed in its own, very large glass "cloche" shown in a couple of pics. As a result, the figure itself has no stickiness (which can sometimes happen due to the "off-gassing" that can occur with vinyl figures) and no other issues, scratches or blemishes of any kind.  Truly mint condition.  The gold paint pen KAWS used to sign this figure on the bottom of the foot looks especially striking against the black vinyl background (see the pics).

The glass cloche in which this figure has been displayed is NOT included in the auction for obvious reasons (it's super heavy and bulky). However, if you're local and would like to pick up this item in person, I'll give you the cloche for FREE (which is the perfect way to display this figure). I just checked Amazon and a similar 20" tall glass cloche is anywhere from $220 to $260!

Priced to sell - the opening bid is actually underpriced given it's SIGNED by KAWS (with a video capturing the moment right after he signed it) and the most desirable colorway for the Dissected. But the time has come to pass it along to another collector.  Good luck to all who bid!  I reserve the right to cancel any bids if the bidder only recently joined eBay or has a low feedback rating.

Check my other listings for other rare, and early kaiju and sofubi figures.

I will ship this via Priority Mail at cost in a 20" x 14" x 12" box that provides plent of room between between the original packaging and the shipping box so that it arrives safe and sound. I will also combine shipping with any other items listed that will also fit in the same box.

Unfortunately I don't accept returns unless the item doesn't comply with the pictures.
