Offered for your consideration is a Boston Acoustics Micro90cII center channel speaker, USA-manufactured c.2001.  The Micro90cII features two stout 3½” poly cone mid/bass woofers flanking a 1” aluminum dome tweeter.  This driver complement rests in an attractive, modestly-proportioned—but heavy for its size—enclosure, allowing the Micro90cII to blend effortlessly with just about any décor.

This Micro90cII center speaker is in clean, near excellent condition. The metal enclosure is heavily-clad in matte enamel and has no dents, deep scratches, or edge peeling, just a couple of light scuffs up top and some on the underside.  Plus, the metal grille is in perfect shape, but it’s not designed to be easily removed and I wasn’t going to risk harming the cabinet’s edge just for a look at the certainly perfect drivers.

They’re the same drivers used in the Micro90x Reference Satellites, and have stayed fully protected behind that sturdy grille.  And, with the rubber woofer surrounds, there are no aged foam issues to worry about.  Overall, this Boston center channel speaker presents very nicely.

What’s more, the Micro90cII has large, sturdy binding post +/- terminals for quick, fiddle-free connections.  Plus, there are removable end caps if you’re going to use banana plugs, etc.  This is a well-executed, no-frills center speaker.

Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific as you’d expect from Boston Acoustics—sparkling highs, very clear and detailed midrange, and good low end for the platform size.  Plus, with the diminutive front profile, it doesn’t overwhelm the eyes near a TV like some large centers while bringing the great Boston sound!
