1966 Baltimore Orioles - Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Souvenir Program

The 1966 World Series was the championship series of MLB's 1966 season and the 63rd edition of the World Series which was a best-of-seven playoff between the AL champion Baltimore Orioles and the NL champion (and defending World Series champion) Los Angeles Dodgers. The Orioles swept the series in four games to capture their first championship in franchise history. It was the last World Series played before MLB introduced the Commissioner's Trophy the following year. The Dodgers suffered record low scoring, accumulating just two runs over the course of the series (both of which were in the first game), the lowest number of runs ever scored by any team in a World Series.

This World Series marked the end of the Dodgers' dynasty of frequent postseason appearances stretching back to 1947. Conversely, it marked the beginning of the Orioles' dynasty of frequent postseason appearances that continued until 1983. The Series included many stars such as Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Willie Davis, Maury Wills, Sandy Koufax, Don Sutton, Jim Palmer and Don Drysdale

Condition: Very nice; light marks on back, program was scored for the October 8, 1966 game 3 of the world series and the page is loose from the staples
