I REMEMBER LONG AGO by the excellent, very underrated US 60'S psych/pop band THE PEPPERMINT TROLLEY COMPANY (featuring The Farragher Brothers) (Dr.Dream Ltd.32-123 of 250-2005) is an excellent collection of the band's ACTA non LP 45's (15 tracks in all, all original mono mixes, including the best rendition of the classic Steve Barri song Lollipop Train, their 1st single, and the classic 9 O'Clock Business Man, and rare later 45's Spinning Whirling Round and It's A Lazy Summer Day), their complete sole album release "The Peppermint Trolley Company", and 3 rare mono mixes of tracks from the album. Featuring 27 songs of the band's ACTA recordings from 1965-1968, the material is very reminiscent of what The Left Banke were doing at the time, and is baroque pop of the highest caliber.
