Offered is an ORIGINAL, ROLLED 40x60 movie poster from "STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE" (1979), the first big screen adventure of the U. S. S. Enterprise starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, Walter Koenig, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Majel Barrett, Stephen Collins and Persis Khambatta and directed by Robert Wise.

The film was originally released in December of 1979 and was a big hit for Paramount Pictures which led to five additional sequels starring the original crew.

The poster was issued by The National Screen Service and given the release date of 790177 and features GORGEOUS artwork by renowned artist Bob Peak who also created original artwork for all the sequels with the exception of "Star Trek VI."

This comes from my personal collection of hundred of original movie posters which I've been collecting for almost 40 years. Since acquiring this poster around 35 years ago, it's been stored rolled in an acid-free, printer's proofing tube. I never displayed or hung it in any fashion.

The poster is in FANTASTIC, NEAR MINT CONDITION. There are no rips, no tears, no pinholes, no staple holes and no writing. The colors are bold and vibrant. Aside from a few very minor creases, this is a really beautiful copy. You'll be hard-pressed to find one in better condition.
