An image of the personification of a river in a mature, naked man of herculean shapes, with his back resting on a sphere, perhaps a representation of the globe. He is seated on the ground, with an almost frontal right profile, with his head facing forward and his arm resting on a pitcher fallen on the ground through which the water is poured. On his head, as a headdress, a few small blades of grass that intermingle with the curls of his hair. It is reminiscent of the Baroque depictions of rivers on different continents.
