That's the inscription inside this stunning slide-action,

spring-opening cigarette case by Asprey, London.

Crafted in solid sterling silver with a gold plate for the external initials "J H"

and  gold trim to the edges plus gold plating to the interior.

It's difficult to imagine just who 'owns' the initials, what happened on that date

and the term BANCO.

Any ideas?
