K.Yairi is a handmade acoustic guitar produced at the Yairi guitar factory in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. In recent years, the affordable 2 Series has also become popular.
The 2 series has been using obankol for the sides and back, but due to the material being depleted, it was changed to pau ferro.
Both are classic wood substitutes for the same rosewood.
Although the change in sound is almost imperceptible, pau ferro, which tends to have wood grain, often has an exotic look.
In addition, the soft V-shaped mahogany neck with a nut width of 42 mm is extremely easy to grip and provides excellent playability regardless of position.
