Here is a lovely bisque head Limoges doll with a rough composition body. The body has numerous obvious repairs showing glued cracks and various methods of repair. Only her lower arms and fingers show the damage when she’s dressed. She stands about 11” tall and has a swivel head. She is marked on the back of her neck “Limoges” with the letter 1 below. There is an embossed, what appears to read, “JB” on her composition back. Many Limoges dolls were made by Lanternier et Cie. She was made between 1915 and 1924, making her a genuine antique doll. She displays well in her pretty lace dress and fancy hat. She also wears a slip, shoes and socks, but no underpants. I believe her gown is original, but I’m not sure about her hat. Her eyes are fixed and her mouth is open showing a set of pretty teeth. She has a very lovely face and a nice light brown wavy wig. Please enlarge photos to see the condition of her hands. She just needs someone to love her for who she is!
