Enameled Top Crystal Inkwell. Correctly signed "E F Caldwell & Co New York" under lid. By 1920 Caldwell had moved into making elaborate enamel pieces based on the Limoges enamels at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. This inkwell features an elaborate Medieval design on the cap. Crystal Inkwell measures 3" x 3" square and has a hairline that runs down one side but is tight and does not affect the functionality of the piece. Overall a wonderful early 1920's piece.
