FenderCustomShop Custom Thinline Telecaster
This is a custom made model made in 1994.
The Thinline was introduced in 1968 as a derivative of the Telecaster.
The Thinline from this period was simply a Telecaster with a semi-hollow body and the control position and pickguard changed. After this, it was changed to 2 humbuckers, but these 2 single models are also famous for being used by Scandal's guitar vocalist.
The model that arrived this time is an order model made by the initial custom shop.
Although there is little information, it is likely to be a custom model from Yamano Musical Instruments, the distributor at the time.
It has a distinctive appearance without an F-hole, but the inside is actually a hollow body.
The most notable thing is the weight. Since the body is semi-hollow, it is still light. It's lightweight, so if you have back pain and are bothered by heavy instruments, please check it out.
Another characteristic of semi-hollow is that it has a rich midrange sound. It seems like it's less sharp than the Telecaster, and has a thicker midrange.
I feel like the fact that the body is made of mahogany has a lot to do with it.
Also, its biggest feature is that it looks like a solid guitar because there is no F-hole.
It can also be used by people who want to hide the fact that they are playing a semi-hollow body guitar for various reasons.
