I'm the original owner of this vintage white Nancy Funk Hands shelf, which I purchased for my first apartment to use under my wall phone (remember those?) to hold note paper. The two ceramic hands hold an acrylic shelf (18" x 6").  At the same time, I purchased the single hand (with fingers spread) to hold a kitchen sponges.  The shelf has Nancy Funk markings, though the hand does not.  I purchased them together in 1979, and wanted the additional pieces, but couldn't afford them.
Two years later, in 1981, I found matching ceramic candle/towel/toilet paper holders (dowels not included). I'm fairly sure these two 1981 sets of hands towel holders are not Nancy Funk, although they are an excellent match. I moved not long after and I ended up not using the two towel holders at all, and they have been stored all these years with the NF shelf and other hand.  The Nancy Funk shelf hands are in excellent shape.  They easily hang with screws.  Four screws (for shelf) included. The acrylic shelf has a few faint smudges which did not show up in the photos.  There are also some very faint scratches on the acrylic, also difficult to see when displayed. (I read online acrylic can be cleaned with plastic cleaner, although I did not try) The single hand (fingers spread) has a nick on the middle finger knuckle, although it is glazed over. (see photo #11) There is also some hairline crazing (not cracks) lines on the single hand (see photo #12) and on the some of the towel holder hands.  These are fine lines and (somewhat difficult to see) and do not detract from the strength or look of these 40+ year old items.  Together the 8 pieces make a great functional and unique display.
