The Minolta Freedom Escort is a superbly designed, fully automatic point and shoot camera that features fast autofocus and multiple flash modes along with an ultra sharp 34mm f/3.5 lens. The camera was released in 1991 at a time when Minolta and Leica were sharing designs, the Freedom Escort is a close cousin of the Leica Mini II - they both featured the same glass lens manufactured by Minolta and electronics manufactured by Matsushita to strict specifications demanded by Leica.
