This was my grandfather's business card holder. It is enscribed with his initials - EBG.

He was the Exec VP of British American Tobacco in Shanghai, China before WW II. 

So the holder is at least 100 years old because he moved from Granville County, NC to Shanghai in the mid teens.

There is a small dent on the back side - visible in the pictures, but it does not compress the interior card carrying ability.

Please note the ruler dimensions. This is a unique size that is non-standard in today's business world.
