Milhouse English Bassoon c. 1820 HISTORIC COLLECTION

Here's a fine English bassoon by important maker Milhouse, circa 1820. And ideal instrument for historical performance of classical and early romantic works. This instrument is in overall excellent condition but will need pad work to be playable.

Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale.

As this instrument is historically interesting, we have chosen to not do restoration work on it and leave that to the eventual owner.
