Beautiful original 1928 vintage 8x10 glossy press photograph portrait of silent movie actress MADGE BELLAMY. The photo has a mark from photographer AUTREY as well as a typed description attached to reverse which reads: "Meet Madge Bellamy, beautiful Fox Film player. Miss Bellamy is not averse to sacrificing beauty for art when the occasion requires. In "Mother Knows Best" recently produced Fox Film Miss Bellamy hid behind a coating of cork to impersonate Al Jolson and bowed her legs to impersonate Harry Lauder." Madge Bellamy (born Margaret Derden Philpott; June 30, 1899 – January 24, 1990) was an American stage and film actress. She was a popular leading lady in the 1920s and early 1930s. In 1932 Bellamy appeared with Bela Lugosi in the horror film White Zombie. Bellamy's career ended following a romantic scandal in the 1940s.
