This is a wonderful, highly detailed collection housed in the old style, huge, Imperial album.  This is part of a two volume collection, with this being for the period to 1928 and the further volume I have listed being for the period 1928-36.

The collection is far more in-depth than regular collections of this type, with perforations and colours/shades being noted, and additional stamps being added for varieties. There is also a strong interest in cancellations with many unusual and interesting postmarks being noted throughout. There are also a good amount of minor varieties and listed errors.

The above is all on top of what is an already comprehensive collection of many thousands of stamps, which is no mean achievement given the period.  The album kicks off with no less than six penny blacks and continues with many higher values and very useful sections, including India States.  The overall catalogue value will be enormous! Please note that any values noted in the album are several yers old and likely to be much higher currently.

As always, I have no time to go through these large collections in any detail so cannot guarantee all annotations are correct, that the stamps are all housed within the album correctly and that all stamps are genuine.  However, it does appear that the original owner was a very competent collector.

The 450 images below show all pages with three or more stamps, unless more noteworthy. Please take the time to have a good look through to appreciate what is on offer. Condition will of course vary in a collection of this size.

Please see my other items including the other album of this collection. I will combine postage if possible.

Any postage costs DO NOT include any import/customs charges that may be due.  These are the buyer's responsibility and so you should take this into account before placing your bid.  Any item sent internationally as anything other than standard will be sent 'registered' to cover any insurance for me if the item is lost.  As such, a declaration of value has to be made and so import charges will be based on this.
