Offered for your consideration is a vintage DYNAUDIO 15W75 S (84460) 150mm (6 inch nominal) woofer removed from my DYNAUDIO Audience C120+ center channel speaker, manufactured in Denmark c.1999. As I’m sure you know, DYNAUDIO is one of Europe’s most respected speaker companies, in addition to supplying raw drivers to other high-end brands such as Sonus Faber, Thiel, and others.

I believe this woofer is also correct for the DYNAUDIO LR 120+ and likely other speakers in the period Audience series. In any event, buyer is wholly responsible for ascertaining its suitability for any speaker other than the C120+.

This DYNAUDIO woofer is in clean, excellent condition. It features a sturdy poly cone that’s structurally perfect. Plus, the dustcap covers a huge 3” voice coil—unheard-of on a driver of this size—and is flawless as well. Also, the cast metal basket with crackle-finish black enamel has no dings or scratches, and the galvanized cover to the large magnet structure is free of oxidation. And, the surround is permanent rubber. I did notice the foam dust cover to the magnet’s vented pole had disintegrated over time, as foam is apt to do, but that’s about it. Overall, this is a very well preserved woofer from a top maker.

Most importantly, it sounded great in my testing as you’d expect from DYNAUDIO—very strong and clear with fast, detailed mid-frequency coverage and stout bass for the platform size. Also, I tested the DC resistance at 7.6Ω, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the basket measures 5 11/16” in diameter, it stands just under 2¾” tall, and the six mount holes are equally spaced at 2⅝” apart, c-t-c.
