Upgrading macOS and NVIDIA video cards
Due to Apple GPU policies, you can’t make a clean macOS 10.14 Mojave install from USB on a Mac Pro 2009 (firmware flashed), 2010 or 2012, installation must be done from the SSD or HDD where the working macOS High Sierra is located
macOS Ventura and Sonoma OpenCore
Please understand that installing macOS Ventura and Sonoma on your unsupported Mac is a best effort by the community however is still in development for Mac Pro 5,1 and older. A ton of work went into getting the patcher to work. Some things might not work exactly right but it’s really close. I would not recommend installing on a system that you rely on for work or school. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES FIRST BEFORE YOU UPGRADE! For optimal results OpenCore USB installer must be done from the Mac where it will be installed.
DISCLAIMER Installing a macOS on an unsupported Mac is a process not officially approved by Apple, doing so is at your own risk, due to eBay policies no advice for this purpose will be offered. If you don’t have experience installing unsupported macOSes using OpenCore it can be very complicated and not get full functionality, also many apps are not yet supported.
