I am the original and only owner of this vintage empire maxi dress.  It hasn't passed through multiple owners via estate sales and thrift shops.  I graduated from high school in 1974 and wore this dress in the early 70s.

  The size tag says 7, but sizes were much smaller proportioned in the 70s.  I would consider it to be similar to today's size XS (0 or 1).  See measurements below.

Color:  fantastic blend of purple and lavender in a groovy 70s pattern (fading on one sleeve and the back bottom hemline area)

No fabric composition tag, but dress is dry clean only

Vintage 70s empire waist styling with tie back

Full-length sleeves with elasticized cuffs

Back zipper closure

Measurements:

33" chest circumference
56-1/2" length shoulder to hem (143.5 cm)
49" hemline width circumference (124.5 cm)
29-1/2" sleeves (neck nape to cuff)
