1947 Olds super trumpet with a brass tone ring that was only offered in '46 and '47.  The main tuning slide was super stuck and I had to replace the upper outer slide tube (in brass). The main slide has 'a 47 Special upper inner slide tube.  The 1st and 2nd slides are also from a '47 Special.  This horn had some pitting in the lacquer and pitting is still evident in the polished brass in some areas.  I did not want to over buff and remove too much metal.  The biggest dent is a very small dent in the bell crook area near the brace.  There are a few minor dings in the bell and some scratching is seen in the polish, but overall, this is a very attractive horn.  See pictures.  You can keep the polished look with routine polishing.  Or you can let it go and let the natural patina take over.
The valves are in excellent condition; valve action is smooth and fast with very good compression!  This is a very nice player; slots well, free blowing with a nice big round sound!

Comes with a Conn 7C mouthpiece and Olds case from the era.  Not sure if it is original.  The case is in good condition. The latches work but do not spring open.

Chem and ultrasonically cleaned.  New valve springs, corks, & felts.  New water valve corks and springs.

If you want a distinctive looking and sweet playing piece of history for a fair price, this this is your horn!
