DESCRIPTION

Beautiful Federal period reverse painted half column mirror, ca. 1830.  Upper glass tablet has a floral and fruit still life eglomise panel.  Thoroughly gold painted frame with block corners and raised rosettes.  Rough cut wooden back board panels.

CONDITION

Overall very good to excellent.  All glass intact.  Glass tablet appears to be the original.  Mirror glass is early, but probably not the original.  Some minor paint flakes and lifting in the eglomise panel (all visible in the images).  A FINE AND BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN 19TH CENTURY MIRROR.
