A true iconic timepiece from the  Rolex "Swiss Oyster Watch company" as written on the inside of the back of this early Rolex water proof case. From lug to lug this 4 piece genuine case is 38mm long and wide less the crown it is 33mm. This is a chromed case and has many "Great Britain" patents as Rolex was form in London prior moving to Switzerland to avoid steep tax laws in the UK. This case has been cleaned and cleaned only and left in all it's glory. The crystal is new and fitted properly for sure. The dial is 100% factory never touched nor altered. As well as the pointed blued hands. The movement is absolutely correct and signed "15 jewels, Swiss Made" . The crown is an Oyster screw down piece and signed Oyster patented which is correct. There are 15 clean and inspected jewels to this gem and I have serviced this Rolex movement with T.L.C.  Produced at the Rolex factory in the year 1940 and keeps really good time. Truly a work of art and iconic from the Rolex Genève Swiss watch factory. The band is period leather and 16mm in width.
