Another museum piece for sale and serviced as always the proper way never a short cut taken and only added a new Waltham mainspring for this model 1883 "Canadian Railway time Service" piece.  This is a display case and made of gold filled material. Across this piece is 55mm and with both sides having perfect glass crystals. This is an 18 size stem wind and stem set first generation movement with an original Waltham double sunk early railroad dial with a line or two not Earth shattering though they are there. The hands are thin railroad Waltham spade pieces and for this model. This CRTS model is part of the "Appleton & Tracey" family and out of this first run there are only 1000 produced and 200  CRTS, and of coarse the other 800 are stamped Appleton & Tracey. The serial number for this 17 jewel movement is 7,453,834 which places this American made marvel to the year 1897 yes 1897! Notice please all jewels have been inspected and are in seated solid gold jewel settings. Even the screws are flashed gold though the scans don't show them well enough. In 30 years as a certified watchmaker I have had only 4 of this Canadian highly sought after pieces as they are truly very uncommon to hit the market though here you have it serviced properly and keeps amazing time indeed ;-)
