This is a fully functional R2-D2 telephone. Manufactured in 1997, the item includes its original box and styrofoam packaging. Item is in used condition (it was used for years as a phone) and includes the phone only (not any of the original cords). Plastic on the phone has yellowed noticeably (see photos for specifics). Item was tested with new batteries and it still works. Batteries are not included (item takes two C batteries). When testing, R2-D2's dome did not always move smoothly from side to side - this seems to have gotten a little bit stuck over time. I was able to get it move from side to side sometimes, but not consistently. It likes to stay in one place. There is a button on the front for "demo mode" where you can see R2-D2 light up, make sounds, and light up.
