Sharpening stone in hand made Case..

A nice clean single grade solid sharpening stone .

The stone is light grey colour with what looks like a darker shade of grey graining in the stone.

The stone measures 17cm X 4.3cm X 3.6cm, so that's length by width by thickness.

The stone has probaly been used, i have placed a steel ruler along the length of the stone and there looks to be no real noticeable wear on the surface of the stone

The stone comes with a very well made hand made box. The lid does rock slightly from end to end

The surface finish on the box is very good.

There is some very light damage on the surface of the box scrathes mainly.

All the above damage could be sanded out.

Like the stone the edges of the box are very sharp and defined.

There is a little gaping between the top of the box and the base.

There are chips on the edges of the stone, the flat top of the stone is good maybe 4 very small defect on the surface of the stone.

The previous owner had applied putty on the inside of the wooden case so the stone was held in position.

I have broken the seal of the putty that held the stone in place, the stone can now be removed from its case.

The box measures 235mm x 62mm x 65mm these measurements are approximate.
