Moses Younglove Ransom (Cleveland Ohio) is known for his Moorish Fretwork, designing his own machinery to create the complex wood turning. He patented this charming as anything form on Christmas Day 1888. 



Gorgeous solid maple w/ barley twist legs and tail. Milk glass eyes, ochre velvet ears & upholstery w/ brass studs where visible & handmade nails on the under side. 



Entirely original in beautiful condition w/ honest wear to the velvet’s flocking & old repaired break to spiral tail. 9" H x 9" W at widest splay of legs & 20"L.
