ESP SUGIZO First Signature Prince- PR- Cloud Guitar 1991-1992 All-White w OGB "No-Used Collection"

Description

ESPGuitar is a product that is loved by many professional musicians due to its high cost performance, which incorporates recent cutting-edge technology based on a thorough knowledge of the history of electric guitars. We have earned high praise both in Japan and overseas, not only as a domestic guitar manufacturer, but also as a heavyweight in a wide range of music industries.

And LUNASEA, a rock band that created the foundation of domestic visual bands. SUGIZO was a member when the band was formed in 1988, has played the guitar part for many years, and is currently the guitarist for X JAPAN, which is considered the pinnacle of Japanese visual bands. He is a super guitarist who continues to be active in a wide range of activities, including supporting many other bands and producing music.

SUGIZO started working with ESP when he was still in his second year of high school and the band was named LUNACY, which was the precursor to LUNASEA. Around 1990, he signed an endorsement contract with ESP and acquired the HORIZON model. The following year, in late 1991, he released his first signature model, the PR-1, which was inspired by the white-collar cloud guitar used by his beloved Prince. Regarding the PR-1 model, which I have been using since before my debut, it has a body shape similar to the cloud guitar that was created based on materials from the time. PR-1 and later models are smaller, equipped with the familiar EMG pickup, and equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo. Mr. SUGIZO's sound is packed with essential factors, and although the jack section was originally a round type like the PR-, it was actually damaged in an accident during a live performance and was customized to a boat-shaped jack. Parts are also reproduced. In fact, the PR- model, which was the first model to his specifications, was treated as a prototype following the PR-, so after the LUNASEA major debut in 1992, it was replaced with the improved second model, PR-. Due to the transition, the number of production is extremely small, and it has become an ultra-rare phantom model that cannot be compared to the models after PR-.

This time, we would like to introduce you to the PR-, which is the phantom No. 1 model that has no sales history even in Japan or overseas, and is his first signature model. Furthermore, the previous first owner was not a guitar player, but a fan of SUGIZO, so the item was purchased in unused collection condition, and the original gig bag and other accessories are still intact. This is truly a miracle, and will be the ultimate collectible item for LUNASEA fans and SUGIZO fans.

First of all, as for its specs, the body shape adopts a special Bizarre shape based on the familiar Prince Cloud Guitar. The body is made of alder and the neck is made of maple with a through-neck structure, and the distinctive white color is not only the body neck but also the headstock, fingerboard, and all other parts are unified in white, giving it a unique look. We are proud of In addition, while the PR model and later models have a pure white color with a bluish tint, only the PR model has a slightly creamy vintage-like coloring, and based on materials from the time, it is similar to Prince's Cloud Guitar. Reproduce the shape as it is. And it has a white-colored EMG pickup, Floyd Rose tremolo, black dot marker, and black parts that are strongly reminiscent of SUGIZO at the time, making it a very rock-like finish that only exists in white and black.

As for the sound, if you are familiar with SUGIZO's sound at the time, he will output a rock sound that is so unique that it will bring tears to your eyes. It combines the intense power and clear sound that is unique to EMG pickups, with the high range giving off a beautiful, sexy and sparkling feel, and the mid-low range giving off a strong, solid viscosity. It also has a high quality that maintains the outline of the sound even when heavily distorted. Although the control is very simple with a 1Vo selector, combined with the flexible arming of Floyd Rose, it is suitable for extremely practical combat with the attention to detail demanded by Mr. SUGIZO, who is known as a perfectionist. Since the body size is one size larger than the PR- and later models, you can feel the thick low mid that can match the power of the EMG, which can be said to be the unique sound of the PR- model.

Finally, as for the condition, as mentioned above, this is a piece that was collected by the previous first owner as a fan rather than a player, so there is no damage or signs of use associated with normal use. The frets are in 99% condition as they have been stored with a fret guard attached, and there is almost no picking scratches, buckle scratches, or deterioration of the metal parts that are touched during playing. Two of the body back panels still have protective stickers on them. If I were to nervously look around and list negative points, I would say that although it was stored in the original gig bag, there is a small scratch on the fret side on the 15F bass string side, a tiny paint chip the size of a sesame seed on the top of the head, and There is discoloration due to age, and there are marks on the body back that look like fabric scratches, which are thought to be buffer marks from the case. However, it is surprising that there is an existing example, and considering that it was made 32 years ago, it is in dead stock condition that I can say with certainty that there is no example in better condition than this. As accessories, we also have the original gig bag, ESP issue, etc. (see image), all in the same condition as when purchased new.

There has been a recent rise in prices in the musical instrument industry as a whole, and prices for artist-related models in particular continue to rise tremendously. As for this PR-model, as the word "phantom" suggests, there is no sales market as there are extremely few production numbers with no past sales history to be found, but the model will soon be lined up as a successor model, and the number will be reasonable. Even the PR-model produced in 2015 was sold for over 700,000 yen. If you simply compare the number of pieces that would have been produced, the rarity is at a level that cannot be increased by 10 times, and if you dare to set a reasonable price, it is expected to be around 150 2 million yen. . However, this time, we have received the kindness of the former first owner who wants the next SUGIZO fan to be able to comfortably hold it in their hands, so we have decided to offer it to them at a special price that is below three digits. PR- This is one that can be recommended for Prince fans as it has the same shape as Prince's Cloud Guitar. This is the ultimate collectible item that we can guarantee will never be available in the future, so if you are interested, don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime big chance!
