16-inch Treasury Department War Finance Division, vinyl record with recordings titled "Exhibit A" and "What Makes an American" which seem to be WWII related. Turntables to accommodate them were not publicly available though Newcomb built a transcription player for commercial use. Many were made to promote government programs or provide military information or recruitment. In addition to military use, these huge discs were widely used for radio station commercials. Shows wear and scratches but none appear deep enough to prevent play. There are some scores on the edge but they do not intrude on the grooves. Please review the photos as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.

Please see my other sales and auctions for additional curiosities, oddities, fossils, minerals, antiques, antiquities, art, books, toys, collectibles and clothing.  Don't hesitate to contact me with questions. I combine items for reduced shipping but in order to do this you must place the items in your shopping cart and request an invoice. I will send an invoice with the combined shipping charges from which you can pay.  If there are multiple item auctions you have won, let me know they are to be combined before you pay, and I can send an invoice with the combined shipping charges as well.  Once you have paid, I cannot reduce the shipping charges.  Postage will be paid by buyer for returns and refund will consist of the purchase price, less my shipping cost unless the item is not as described. Item must be returned in the same condition as received and must be packed as well as originally shipped. In the event you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me to resolve the issue.  I am very proud of my positive feedback and try hard to represent items honestly to the best of my ability.  Thanks very much for looking.
