3 F.Arnold civil war dental forceps owned by Rev. William Bowers Everett,M.D., an asst surgeon in the confederate army during the Civil War. These come in an 1930's Whitmans sampler box with the provenance written on paper glued to the box, which was written around 1936. There are 2 transcripts of what's written on the box, one handwritten and one typed. The transcripts say the daughters name was "Selia" but according to find a grave, her name is Lelia, you can see that her name is Lelia on the box also. Two of the forceps are clearly marked "F. Arnold Balto", (Francis Arnold,Baltimore)the third one's marking is almost completely gone and you can only make out a "D"( See pic). All 3 forceps have rusting and wear consistent with age and use. The original writting on the box is hard to read in several spots from what looks like some water damage. This comes with the 3 forceps, 2 transcript letters and the whitman sampler box.
