Offered is a wonderful Antique French faience plate from Hautin & Boulanger with rare Makers mark .

This Maker's Mark honored founder Louis Boulenger's son and eventual successor (1863) Hippolyte Boulenger.

Choisy-Le-Roi was a manufacturer of fine faience and majolica near Paris during the 18th, 19th and 20th century.

Their main location " Etablissements Boulanger" on Gambetta Ave was the Paris location.

Prior to the Franco-Prussian War of 1870, many great French artisans lived in Sarreguemines.

Once Alsace and Lorraine were claimed by the Germans, many French Faience artists moved to Paris and Choisy-le-Roi.

Their fine rare items are still sought out by experienced collectors worldwide.

This piece measures 9" in diameter and in excellent condition with really beautiful age related glaze crazing and manufacturing characteristics on the surface. .
