Unknown male vocal with guitar 12” Metal acetate 78You Were My Lie
Sounds like it could be Lowell Fullson from the late 40s.
This Cava-Tone acetate was found in 4 Star warehouse
There is no date in on acetate or old sleeve
The numbers on the acetate and old sleeve CAV-100, but Cava-tone label series started at 101 so this didn’t seem to get released.
The other side has the same song, but it sounds like the same version, but not 100% sure. That side is not nearly as clean.
This song is 3 minutes 12 seconds on this acetate and playing grooves start 1/4 into acetate and in VG+++ condition.
The sound clarity on this is so great!
It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 70 years.
Very rare, probably one of a kind rarity!!!
