Genuine Victorian piano / dressing stool. I have had this valued and appraised by an antiques dealer, who states it is 1860-1870, genuine rosewood with horse hair stuffing. Original condition. 4 layers of upholstery were removed from this stool, and what remains is possibly/probably the original upholstery, through which you can feel the horse hair stuffing crunching in the sides.

The rotating stool can be height adjusted. 47cm at the lowest, extending to 60cm max

There is a little damage to the rosewood, not noticeable as below the seat. Please see photos.

Antique dealer suggested I sell it to him, with a suggested price of £80. Everyone else seems to be selling these for a couple of hundred.

I am not an antiques dealer, but am raising funds for charity. (Nhs nurses with long covid)

Please ask if you need any more photos or information. Although I can’t tell you more about it than it came from a Victorian house in Hackney during a restoration project in the 1990’s. I had to get my own information, as stated above, from a local antiques dealer.
