This is a highly collectible completed Beary Merry Christmas Countdown-To-Christmas or Advent Calendar and original bear plus an added metal hanging rod and ribbon to hang the calendar with.  I will also include 2 metal brackets in case you want to hang the calendar on a wall or over a window instead of using the ribbon.  

This calendar panel was a display in a fabric store that sold these panels. The store wanted to display one for their customers.  The edges were sewn and space was made at the top for a hanging rod.  

I bought it directly from the craft store and folded it and put it away. It has not been displayed in my home, so I consider this a new item. The metal rod, brackets, and ribbon are also new.

The bear is sewn and stuffed.  It has a pin sewn to the back.  This calendar can be used as it is or you can add embellishments to the calendar and/or quilt the panel.  

This calendar panel was printed by QT Fabrics, a Cranston Print Works company.    

Completed, the calendar measures 40.75" tall and 26.5" wide. 

Condition: Brand new, crisp fabric.  The calendar was sewn and displayed in a fabric store and purchased from that store and never displayed elsewhere.  There are no stains or flaws on this calendar or on the bear.  Very clean.  

Comes from a smoke free and pet free home.

Other materials you will need to complete this calendar, if you wish:

Buttons, hook/eye, or snaps for hanging the bear at 24 different locations, if you choose not to use the safety pin located on the bear's back.  

Optional: 3-1/2 yards of double fold bias tape.

Optional: Fabric backing for quilting the panel.

This fabric panel originally became popular in the 1980s.  Mothers and grandmothers spent hours quilting these panels for their children and memories were created.  Now, those children have become adults and have lost their original calendar and need a new one or they desire to quilt a new one for their child/children/grandchildren.  Thankfully, Cranston Print Works/QT Fabrics made a couple of re-prints in the 2010s. This is one of those reprints.

The story of this advent calendar is that a little quilted bear is looking for Christmas.  He searches inside and outside his house for Christmas.  Each day on the calendar tells you where the little bear is looking for Christmas.  

If you choose, you can add hooks & eyes or buttons or snaps at each location, and you can hang the bear at each different location depending on the day.
