The Amersham Biosciences AKTA Prime is a compact, single-step FPLC system designed for simple purification of proteins. This FPLC system offers an easy-to-use interface with pre-programmed templates, contributing to its high reproducibility and accuracy. The AKTA Prime also features many error-reduction capabilities, such as automatic UV detection and temperature compensation and motorized valves that ensure automatic buffer or sample selection, sample loading, and fraction collection. Fractions and peaks are easily detected via slope sensing within fixed volume collection or automatic peak fractionation.
