This a well serviced super clean piece. South Bend is an American company and produced beautiful pieces like this grade 219, model 2 pocket watch. This is a 16 size and this railroad chromed base metal case is 52mm across and made by the Keystone watchcase company, another American company ! The dial is enamel with lines and a few flaws thus the price has been lowered though this dial is clean. The hands are medium thick spade railroad pieces. The crystal is glass and not a flaw. There are no personal engravings on this case. As mentioned I have just freshly serviced this gem and added a new mainspring as all my pieces have new mainsprings. The serial number for this grade 219 movement is 800,701 which places this south Bent to the year 1914. There are 19 jewels to this movement and all jewels have been inspected and cleaned. These jewels are all in raised solid gold jewel settings. Adjusted to 4 positions is written on the barrel bridge and this is a double roller model. few winds of the crown and off goes this stem wind and stem set model pocket watch to keep excellent time indeed.
