2 pieces

1) vintage private mailing card from Covington, Kentucky features beautiful handwritten script and an way to order your jewelry pieces.

2) the trade card has a stamp box that reads “ return with 10-cent in silver and 6 cents in stamps for an offer of jewelry with the Lord's prayer

Wonderful examples of advertising for Vokes Jewelry Manufacturing Co.

-The card also includes a pin and ring offer, with a ring sizer on the card, and is stamped with the series D.

These cards are a unique piece of history, showcasing the art of private mailing cards and the evolution of currency in the late 1800’s to early 1900s.

They would be great addition to any collection, especially for those interested in advertising, fashion, currency and social history.

NOT SO MUCH TOPOGRAPHICAL AS ADVERTISING & OBSOLETE CURRENCY EXAMPLES

———-

-lots of pictures from every angle to highlight cards’ condition, value and to differentiate glare from fade or damage.

(I live in a very “sunshiny”home, and it is difficult to take a picture without some kind of glare- especially when a card has a natural sheen or added gloss. My apologies)
