In good pre-owned condition. With some light scratches and scuffs on the case.
It works (plays good quality images, rewinds, fasts forward, ejects tape easily, but with some odd characteristics. Apparently something that has to do with the Autoplay feature. When the unit is plugged in, but in OFF state, you can insert a VHS tape and it will accept it, nothing will happen until you turn the unit ON. This is when it automatically starts playing the tape and you will see the video. From here, all basic functions work as intended (Play, pause, forward, rewind, eject) and flawlessly.
The issue is that if you try to turn the unit ON without a VHS tape in first, the forward mechanism will start spinning indefinitely. At this point it is not advisable to insert a VHS tape, because it might get caught in the mechanism. You just need to turn the machine OFF again, insert a VHS tape and turn it back ON, then press play and it starts working correctly again.
Please ask any questions before buying. I have explained thoroughly how this unit behaves. It works, but there is some maintenance or possibly a repair to do. Selling this unit AS IS, no returns.
