Interesting playbill from the play "Prisoner at the Bar" presented by the Polytechnic Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas with the tag lines "A thrilling drama. The trial of a young husband and father for killing his wife in a drunken debauch". This is an attempt at temperance and the abolition of alcohol as expressed by the letter made part of the playbill which states, in part " 'Prisoner at the Bar' in a superb way and in the best of taste moved every one deeply with the conviction that traffic of liquor must be driven from our land".  Allegedly based upon court records, the judge was played by an actual judge and the prisoner was played by a former prosecutor who also created the play based on a case he had handled in his career. Measures 9 1/8 X 6 inches closed and 9 1/8 by 12 inches open. In good condition with some edge tears and chips, stored folded.
