A rare Sony CRF-230 23-band Radio Receiver in good condition complete with copy of 80 page service manual and rare 4-pin power cord. The exterior is very good, Considered one of the most stylish and 'featured' Sony  Receivers the 'CRF-230' boasts a very busy front panel supporting FM/AM/LW/SW bands, switches for Radio/Phono, Mono/Stereo, Muting and AFC. 27 Transistors, 3 FETs, 18 transistors for auxiliary functions, 34 diodes, 1 thermistor. In addition Vol, Bass, Treble, concentric knobs for Main and Fine tuning. Further a Stereo Wide, control, AM/USB/LSB switch, RF gain control, and BFO switch. Used mainly as an FM receiver the 'audio' quality is excellent.  45 cm x 32cm x 19 cm and solid 14.0kg weight. Featuring FM stereo, AM and 19 x Shortwave bands all working perfectly. Offering inbuilt woofer and tweeter speakers. It also boasts Phono and Line inputs. Can operate on 110-120V and 220-240V, plus 9-volt batteries. Sony produced some exceptional Radio Receivers in the 1970/80's and the CRF-230 was one of them. Exterior very good condition, 3 telescope aerials. Offers quality sound from an inbuilt speaker, one of the nicer-sounding transistor radios I've owned. Will ship anywhere at the buyer's expense.
