and boxed example of William Britain’s Limited Edition set No.41118 ‘Nelson’s Victory
Deck Scene’ released in 2004, is a wonderful diorama depicting Admiral Nelson
and his Senior Officers on the deck of H.M.S Victory during the 21st
October 1805 Battle of Trafalgar when Nelson’s British Fleet defeated the
combined French and Spanish Navies during the Napoleonic Wars.
This magnificent and
substantial 6½ x 4¾ x 3½ inch hand-painted metal set, depicts Admiral
Lord Nelson accompanied by Lt. John Pascoe, Capt. Thomas Masterman Hardy, Capt.
Adair (Royal Marines) and Capt. Henry Blackwood, along with a Seaman on the deck of HMS Victory.
This strictly Limited
Edition of only 2000 sets, this being set No. 0340, is expertly crafted in
pewter metal, beautifully hand-painted and highly detailed, this now extremely
scarce set makes a stunning and highly desirable acquisition for any toy
soldier collector or Naval History collector/enthusiast or anyone wishing to
enjoy owning a such a magnificent and extremely scarce set.
This set No.41118 is in
pristine mint new condition having never been displayed or handled and was only
just removed from its box to be photographed, with the photographs showing the
