In the 1960s and 1970s, Italian toasters were widely used in cafes and restaurants, such as the Casadio toaster and the La Minerva toaster.
The latter is for sale here - a truly unique specimen, nothing to be found on the internet. I do have contact with one of the current owners of this Italian family business, proud of her grandfather whose design this toaster was. She also revealed to me that she still has this same chrome jewel in her kitchen.

Je ziet hem en weet hoe 'ie vroeger in een café of restaurant achter de balie was geïnstalleerd voor de snelle en lekkere hap.

Deze laatste is hier te koop - een werkelijk uniek exemplaar, op internet niets over te vinden. Wel heb ik contact met één van de huidige eigenaren van dit familiebedrijf, trots op haar opa wiens ontwerp deze toaster was. Ook verklapte ze me dat zij nog steeds ditzelfde chrome-juweeltje in haar keuken heeft staan.
