Description

This listing is for a beautiful and brand new factory original Gibson USA Custom Shop Les Paul Hard Shell guitar case.  

Gibson has really stepped up when they came out with these Custom Shop Lifton ReIssue Les Paul cases.  GWW built the case for Gibson and it was Made In Costa Rica.  They're quality is exceptional and unsurpassed. GWW builds all of the Lifton ReIssue cases for the Gibson Custom Shop.   The tag that's inside the case shows it was Made In Costa Rica, but the date on it, may be different than what's shown in the picture.  

These cases almost always stay with the new Custom Shop Murphy Lab ( Aged And Non Aged ) Les Pauls that sell for $5,000.00 to $20,000.00 or more.  You'll rarely see one of these cases for sale, ( especially new ) without the Custom Shop guitar.    

As you can see, this is one of the very rare and highly sought after 5 latch Lifton ReIssue " period correct " cases, that was made by GWW.   It's a much more historic accurate replica / reproduction of the original Lifton cases from the 1950's.  When you can find them in this condition, the antique true vintage Lifton cases alone, usually sell for about $4000.00 to $5000.00 each.  

What makes these GWW Lifton ReIssue cases much more " period or vintage correct " are the five small brass latches, the single ( not double ) neck block and the true vintage pink interior.   Notice the tolex exterior also has a dark brown color, that makes it appear to be an aged NOS vintage case.  The vintage style brass Gibson badge / name plate on the side also looks just like the one from the 1950's.       
The other version of the Custom Shop Lifton ReIssue Les Paul case ( that was Made In Canada ) has a lighter brown tolex exterior, with larger polished gold hardware, two neck blocks, a plush purple interior and a badge with the Gibson Custom Shop logo.   

This case came with a brand new 1959 ReIssue Gibson Les Paul Standard that was sold without the case so it's still in mint condition.   There's a lock on the side to secure your guitar while it's being stored or transported.  The key is included, as well as the manila coin envelope, the inspection tag and the Silica Gel packet.
