Vintage Engine Cush Drive – Believed 1930’s Norton or Sunbeam. Possibly NOS!

This could be new, old-stock as I can see no evidence of any wear. It is most likely from a Norton or Sunbeam as it was originally in a box with a lot of Norton & Sunbeam parts. Hopefully the measurements below will help with identification.

Measurements: The drive cog is 3 & 3/16" diameter overall, has 19 teeth, a chain pitch of ½" by ¼" and a centre hole of 1 ⅜".

The spring measures 1 & 9/16" high, is 2 & 5/16" in diameter and has an inner diameter of 1 ¾".

The fitting (on to the engine shaft) is 1" in diameter and where the splines are narrows down to 13/16" diameter.
