DESCRIPTION

Hardback children's annual style volume, with a variety of stories, rhymes etc. Line drawings throughout and very lightly used. Four colour plates - all uncredited - two of 'fairy' subjects, two 'everyday life'. Undated, but probably 1920s from the clothing styles and named illustrators. Most illustrations are uncredited, but signed illustrations are by EM Overnell, Marjorie Slade, Newnham, Leigh Kidman, Freda Derrick, Doris M Bowden, HC Sandy, Louis Wain and KJ Noble.

An unusual survival in very good condition - we have been unable to trace another copy!

About Julian House

At its foundation, Julian House was set up to offer direct support to some of the most marginalised people in society – the homeless. Initially this was limited to offering food and shelter. Over time other projects and services have been developed which not only address the symptoms of homelessness but also the underlying reasons why men and women are forced onto the streets. Indeed, projects such a our social enterprises are targeted at preventing people becoming homeless by engaging them in meaningful activities, training and preparation for employment. The work is often challenging and our staff and volunteers work under considerable pressure to achieve incredible outcomes.

We currently have six charity shops; two in Bath; one in Frome; one in Chippenham; one in Thornbury and our newest one in Trowbridge, all offering good quality items at great prices. We pride ourselves on offering a great service in a well presented customer friendly environment. Our shops and eBay sales play an important role funding our front line services. 100% of your eBay purchase goes towards our work.
