1915 Cracker Jack Babe Ruth Rookie!! - Limited Edition

Only 20 left!!

#80 of 100

This young, Boston Red Sox left-handed pitcher didn't make the cut in either of Cracker Jacks two issues from 1914-15. But if the future Home Run King were to be included, this card would stand out as the real key to this prominent set, if not the entire Pre-war era of card collecting. Drawn to match Cracker Jack's original illustrative style, "The Babe" fits right beside the many other hall of famers featured in this famous candy card set, and finally gets the early mainstream rookie card he deserves!!

Card measures the original sets size of 2-1/4" x 3"

The short bio from the cards reverse

Ruth only appeared in four games for Boston in 1914 before being sent down to the minors for more seasoning.

He did not rejoin the Red Sox until spring training of 1915. That year he appeared in 32 games, winning 18 and only losing 8, for a winning percentage of .692%.Although this wouldn't be his first baseball card ever made, that title goes to his 1914 Baltimore News minor league card. But if "The Babe" did make it into this set during his outstanding rookie year, it would undoubtedly be one of the most treasured cards within the hobby.

Each baseball card is professionally printed on thick card stock. The corners are distressed to give the card its vintage feel

The back of each card is unique and pays homage to the original designs from these classic sets.
Each one is hand numbered and includes a brief back story about the player and the card.
The Art of the Cards logo is prominent, so these are not to be confused with the authentic originals.
