This is an original letter that appears to be a draft, written and signed by Ralph Pomeroy, possibly to Henry Knox, covering are solution of the General Assembly for monies owed to the 1st Connecticut Regiment. Reference: John Pierce Esq. late Paymaster General dated West Point February 19th, 1784.

Commissioner of Army Accounts and Paymaster General 1784,was Commissioner Appointed by Congress for settling the pay accounts of the Revolutionary War Army.

Letter reads:

Comptrollers Office 26th June 1790

Sir,

                Inclosed I send you a copy of the resolve of our General Assembly papers as their last legal session in May last respecting your agency for the 1st Connecticut Regiment as per your receipt to John Pierce Esq. late Paymaster General dated West Point February 19th, 1784. Whenever it may be convenient for you to attend upon that settlement should be happy to wait on you here for that purpose: and the sooner it is received upon, the better the state of public business demands that delay will end difficulties therefore hope you will attend within two or three weeks ~
