I bought this coat from an estate sale and spoke with the great granddaughter of the woman who made it. It is from the late 1930s-early 1940s here in KY. The coat does not have an odor of being stored, but does have a few tears in the pelt. And some of the stitching has come loose like in the cuffs. It would be worth restoring or taking it apart to reuse the mink.
