For collectors of pulp paperbacks from the mid-20th century, up for auction is a mixed lot of titles from the 1950s and 1950s, both fiction and nonfiction, but most of the books dealing with crime, business, gangsters, and/or New York -- with one outlier, a science fiction title. The books are a mix of fiction and nonfiction, and some appear to be first-edition paperbacks.

I'm just going to list the books in alphabetical order by author:

The overall condition of these pulp paperbacks ranges from fair to very good. Most titles are spotted, smudged, chipped, etc., with some covers torn, corner-bent, etc. (Big Sol has part of an old price label on the back cover). Some bindings are quite loose and cracked, but all the books appear complete, with no annotations, marginalia, underlining, scribbles, etc., nor any major damage or flaws in the way of clipped or missing pages, tape repairs, water or other liquid damage, large tears, etc. Note that I did not look closely at each and every page in all the books, so I might have missed something. As with all pulp paperbacks of a great age, the pages are age-toned / yellowed / darkened, chipped, etc. Three of the books have the page edges colored red and one is yellow, but the others are uncolored and now age-toned / darkened. The books have neither a strong musty nor smoky odor.

These nine (9) pulp paperbacks from the 1950s and 1960s are being sold AS IS, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE AND PICTURED WITHIN. I am setting what I feel is a reasonable starting price for the auction, and there is NO RESERVE. I am also including a Buy It Now price.

Shipping and handling for the books, which will be sent in a cardboard box: $7 to U.S. addresses (via Media Mail).

Note that eBay has now instituted a shipping program whereby bidders from outside the U.S. can bid on or buy all sellers' items, and the seller sends everything to an eBay facility in the U.S. for shipping. So far, this seems to be working out well (but for one book purchased by someone in China who did not receive it, but thankfully received a prompt refund from eBay for non-delivery).

If you want these books sent more quickly to you (e.g., via Priority Mail in the U.S.), you must request this asap after winning or purchasing them (or beforehand, if possible), and I will adjust the amount accordingly.

I will do my best to send the books out to you no more than 2-3 business days following receipt of payment (that is, when eBay informs me that your payment has been posted to or otherwise cleared in my account).

If you are the winner or buyer of these books, PAYMENT IS EXPECTED WITHIN ONE WEEK (7 DAYS) FROM THE PURCHASE DATE. If you cannot pay within this time frame, PLEASE contact me asap so we can work something out. I'm very flexible and understanding, but I would appreciate communication from you one way or another.

PLEASE NOTE THAT RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED NOR REFUNDS MADE FOR THESE BOOKS, SO PLEASE READ MY DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY, LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOGRAPHS I’VE UPLOADED, AND ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT THE CONTENTS OR CONDITION OF THE TITLES. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!

Thanks for looking, and please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions about this lot of nine vintage American paperbacks.

FOR U.S.-BASED BIDDERS AND BUYERS ONLY, PLEASE NOTE THAT I WILL HAPPILY ADJUST SHIPPING CHARGES FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASES!!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT, IF APPLICABLE, eBAY WILL ADD ANY APPROPRIATE STATE SALES TAX TO THE INVOICE.
