Our spectacle/sunglass chains
(also known as glasses chains and as glasses
holders) are made in England by skilled and experienced
staff.
Every one of our chains can be easily changed into a
necklace, by opening the bolt rings by the end loops, removing the
loops, and then attaching the bolt rings to each other. The chains
are delivered with a drawstring jewellery pouch, to help protect the
chain.
Our designer has worked with costume jewellery for over
25 years, and our wide range has developed to suit all tastes, from
the flamboyant through to the understated.
The quality of our
chains is very high. In the unlikely event of the chain breaking, we
fully guarantee all of our range against manufacturing defect. The
chains will not tarnish, nor will they discolour, provided you look
after them as you would any type of plated metal: by wiping the chain
after prolonged use with a dry cloth, and by not exposing the chain
to prolonged heat or saline humidity.
The spectacle chains are all 24
inches/62 centimeters in length.
The chain components
originate principally from England, with some coming from France, the
Czech Republic and Austria. All components are sourced from reputable
and well-established manufacturers.
These components can be
divided into four categories:
Metal chain.
This is nickel-free. The gold chain is 18 carat gold-plated; all
plating is conducted by electrolysis, which achieves long-lasting
results.
Cut crystals. Swarovski, an
internationally renowned company, supply most of these. Their
faceting is precisely machined, with an unique lustre second to
none.
Glass beads. Made of Bohemian glass,
their enduring shiny or matt finish is achieved through a lengthy
barrelling process using wood chips.
Our quality
control is meticulous. Put this all together and what do you
get? – an unique range of very pretty (and reasonably priced)
chains.
We guarantee all of our chains against
manufacturing defects, and undertake to refund the purchaser in full
for any defective goods which are returned to us.
